AGM

A successful AGM was held on the 30th September. We are pleased to announce that the Water Projects of The Brynmawr Rotary Club  - Lifestraw continues to be most successful and continues to alleviate water problems in many places in the developing world. We thank all our supporters this year who once more have donated so generously and enthusiastically promoted the need for Lifestraw.

Community Model

There were numerous enquiries at the RIBI Conference in Birmingham for the Community Model  it was so successful that it was mistaken at times for a public water dispenser for the centre.

Isca Bear is now available for purchasing for Christmas. Each bear that we sell will give us a donation towards purchasing a Lifestraw for a child who is deprived of clean drinking water. For further details please contact us on info@lifestraw.org.uk

Lifestraw will be attending the Winterfest at Abertillery town centre on the 4th December with Isca Bear and their popular "Lucky Dip" prize every time. We hope you can support us there and we look forward to the event.

Lifestraw is visiting Bristol on Sunday 22nd April for the Rotary Family Day 10am - 3pm We hope to see you there.
Mike Dingley Jones fron The Rotary Club of Carmarthen and our first International Ambassador is now visiting Mombassa and attending their convention. We wish him every success in his venture and look forward for his report when he returns. I am sure that he will be prepared to come and talk to any Rotary Club in the future about his visit and his Lifestraw presentation in Mombassa. Isca Bear arrives at Abertillery

Isca Bear has arrived at theRotary Club of Abertillery and Blaina.
They have adopted him and named him Abba Isca.
He is looking forward to many visits to other clubs and is being cared for by The President Steve Harford and mainly by Sharon.

1060 Conference

Isca meets another new friend ENZO the friend of children from the Burn's unit in Birmingham.
Both appreciated the support that the Rotarians in district 1060 had given them at the House of Friendship.
